Sports Banquet Recognizes Outstanding Athletes

Many were recognized at the annual sports banquet.

Several sports teams were recognized at Perkins annual sports banquet on Thursday night June 15. This year we had 80 students participate in five sport including soccer, basketball, softball, dirt biking and Rein in a Dream Therapeutic Horseback riding. Several students participated in more than one sport, but huge kudos went to Caleigh McKnight who participated in all five disciplines.

It is said that students who participate in sports have a better grasp of many things in life and learn four key life skills: sociability, a healthy competitive spirit, teamwork, and how to be an effective leader. All of these skills translate to a more desired employee. Each of our five coaches recognized a player on their team who stood out as a great teammate and sports person with the Coach’s Award.
