The Perkins Genrad Library was all abuzz on Wednesday evening, October 21, 2015 as a group of about 50 Perkins supporters came together to celebrate the start of Chief Executive Officer Michael W. Ames, Ph.D. tenure as Perkins’ CEO.
Trustees, neighbors, ambassadors, supporters and long-time Perkins leadership team members joined together to share stories, beverages and hor’s d’oeuvres. During the evening, Michael took time to express his gratitude for all of the support those in attendance had offered Perkins over the years. He also made note of how grateful he is to have the opportunity to be a part of such a great community. As the crowd mingled and joked, it was clear that plans for the future were being made.
Stanley Starr, the Vice President of the Board of Trustees said, “The reception held for our new Chief Executive Officer Michael W. Ames Ph.D. was a most enjoyable event. As we build on past successes, growing and improving our programs to better serve the children, youth and adults that receive services at Perkins. I know that all of our partners will continue to play an important role in supporting our ongoing success.”
