The Perkins newest venture, the Perk Coffee and Crafts Shop is excited to announce their grand opening scheduled for this Friday, January 13 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at 200 High Street in Clinton, MA.
The shop has been in the works for several months and is housed in the Perkins Barlow Center (the former home of the Clinton Senior Center). The shop will showcase the work of roughly 45 day-vocational employees from Perkins Adult and Elder Services. Most of the crafts for sale are handmade by program members. They have created everything from free-standing reindeer to beaded jewelry, knitted products, decorative mason jars, baskets and many other items. The shop will double as a snack bar and coffee shop where many of Perkins day vocational participants will be employed.
Handmade cutting boards are available.
Vocational Supervisor Chris Pyko said, “All of the Perk Coffee and Crafts Shop employees have worked hard to get ready for the opening. They are very excited to be meeting new people and interacting with Perkins staff and members of the community. Friday is a big day and, we hope, a busy day at the Perk Coffee and Crafts Shop.”
The public is welcome to attend. Coffee will be served and snacks are available. If you would like to learn more about the Perk Coffee and Crafts Shop or have questions, please contact Chris or Kerry at 978-368-6472. The Perkins community wishes a great opening and successful business venture to our vocational team.
