Math Day is a monthly event at the Doctor Franklin Perkins School that follows a school-wide curricular theme. This month is based on graphing, hence the name “Graph This.” Today, all students from first to twelfth grade participated in hands-on activities that correlate to graphing. We also promoted students volunteering to run tables and actively become a part of the event as a leader to their peers. This month, for the first time, we had four eighth grade students volunteer and it was an excellent opportunity for each student to share their math knowledge and leadership skills. Here are a few photos of our younger students working with graphs.
