The team at Davis Manor respects individual needs and preferences, and welcomes the involvement and interest of family and friends. Our day-to-day care meets the high standards required by our licensing and accreditation agencies. Residents of Davis Manor enjoy a strong network of supports, daily supervision, and activities designed to maintain residents’ independent functioning for as long as possible.
Built in 2000, the single level Davis Manor residence evokes days gone by while employing modern amenities. This handicapped-accessible home includes a carefully planned color scheme and fixture orientation to help facilitate the independent living needs of the residents.
The design of Davis Manor provides supervised living and care that lends itself to privacy and independence, while at the same time maintains the capacity to monitor and keep each resident safe.
“Diana has been a resident at Davis Manor since its opening in 2000. The staff are exemplary in their caring, compassion, and awareness of Diana’s needs. They know about her moods and when she needs help. They coordinate well with the medical and nursing staff. The programming for Diana has enriched her life. Her ability to work in the garden and her cooking program have been an important part of Diana’s life at Davis. Paul and I are so grateful that Diana is able to benefit from Davis Manor.”
– Lindley G. Thomasset, sister of a Davis Manor resident
Day programming choices for residents are evaluated based on personal interests, health, and physical stamina. Opportunities include supported employment in the community, on-site activities, and community adult day health placement.
Through a variety of on-site contracted services, the program is able to offer extraordinary care and service coordination. Psychiatric consultation and medication management is provided as needed at Davis Manor by a psychiatrist and nurse practitioner. Consultation includes an interview, review of relevant medical information, and assessment and recommendation for medication. Psychiatry works very closely with program staff and the nurse to monitor client adjustment and mental health needs. A nurse is on-site five days a week and on-call seven days a week. The nurse coordinates a range of health care services and keeps families and caregivers informed regarding client health issues.
Contracted On-Site Services
A resident or family may choose to use any of our on-site contracted services, which can be billed to residents’ insurance. On-site contracted services include a physician visit, podiatry, laboratory services, pharmacy provision, and skilled care services.
