Perkins is sad to report the loss of a community member, a supporter and a friend. Edward Barlow, 93, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016. Barlow was the proprietor of the Werber & Rose Co. in Clinton, MA and the Werber & Rose Co. in Milford, MA. He generously donated the Clinton store to Perkins in 1990. The building is now the Perkins Barlow Center.
After significant renovation, the 40,000 square foot building provides space for four community-based apartments for developmentally disabled adults, a vocational training center, the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center dental clinic, and the office of Representative Harold P. Naughton. Until just recently, the building was home to the Clinton Senior Center.
Mr. Barlow was a great friend to Perkins, and we are proud that his name will live on through the many adults we serve in the building that bears his name.
